I have a birthday coming up, ( And No, I'm not telling you the date.....) and it seems that pending day gives cause to reflection of how one got to where one is. For a lot of people it's more about personal growth and life changes, and all that rot, but when you have a business interest, that becomes a part of what you reflect on, because by nature it is such a large part of who you are.
We started out renting a small part of the space we now occupy from a friend who has a school lunch business. We packaged less than a few hundred jars, and had only liquid honey, and Honey Apple for sale.
Now we pretty much take up the whole building and have a pretty large range of offerings. We have grown, thanks to the support of our circle of supporters who value quality and honesty, and ethically produced honey.
How things have changed, and just lately they have changed really fast. We took over the back end of our building in September, and that gave us enough room to free up some of the front end to renovate some retail space.
We never had the opportunity to let people "shop" until now, and although we aren't 100% finished, you can now come in and browse and see everything we have to offer. We even have a discount shelf for odds and ends and discontinued jar styles and the like. The most exciting part is this gives us a chance to meet more of the honey curious, and spend more time with our regular customers instead of being a factory outlet/ pick up location.
A huge thank you to Darren, whose hard work and talent is transforming us into something much more warm and welcoming than ever before. I invite you all to pop by this festive shopping season to check out our new look, and let us help you solve your Christmas gift shopping dilemmas. Now you can see and feel and sometimes even taste the wonderous world of honey, and experience all the products of the hive!
We'll announce a grand opening down the road, but for now we are a up and running and I look forward to seeing you soon!
All the best,
