Baked Apple Honey Crumble


  • 3 large apples, cut in halves
  • 5 tbsp scrumptious Manitoba honey
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup chopped nut meats
  • 1 cup corn flakes or bran flakes


    • Arrange apples in a baking disk and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of honey.
    • Add enough water to cover the bottom of the baking dish.
    • Cover and bake at 400Β°F for 20 minutes.
  1. Combine butter, remaining honey, salt, and cinnamon in a saucepan and mix well.
  2. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture bubbles.
  3. Add nuts and cereal flakes and mix lightly.
  4. Spread cereal mixture over tops of apples.
  5. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for 20 minutes longer until apples are tender.
