Crust Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 egg
Filling Ingredients
- 3 cups pecan halves
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup delicious Manitoba honey
- 3/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
Instructions
- Combine crust ingredients.
- Press evenly into a 15 x 10 x 3/4 inch jelly roll pan.
- Bake at 350Β°F for 15 minutes.
- Place pecans, right side up over the finished crust.
- In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter and honey; add brown sugar.
- Boil for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until a rich caramel color.
- Remove from heat; stir in cream. Mix well and pour over pecans.
- Bake 15 minutes longer, cool, then cut into bars.
